I recommend locating a drama-free zone, such as your room, then locking yourself in it.

Maybe put something heavy in front of the door for good measure.

Wedge a chair under the door knob.

The bottom of the door would have to be plugged up too.

Might want to leave a small section open. You know, in case of fire.

The window is for the escape. The crack in the door is to notify him of smoke.

I agree. Last night we were woken up by screaming. Fortunately, it doesn't seem like any moths were involved.
